AMOL’s Paediatric division has the best Developmental therapists with specialized skills and knowledge to evaluate and treat children and adolescents with a variety of developmental delays. We provide treatment to all of our little patients within natural environments set up by partnering with the parents. We use routine based activities which are both fun and therapeutic to help them achieve their maximum functional potential to carry out their daily activities with ease. The treatment program includes a variety of techniques, some of which are:
We evaluate a child’s overall development to identify areas and patterns of developmental delay and identify the source of the problem: physiological, neurological, or environmental factors, or a combination of factors. With this understanding, we then design distinctive treatment programs and implement custom-made interventions that suits best for the child. The family is also provided with the necessary education, awareness and counselling to help the child acquire skills in all areas of holistic development. The Child’s cognitive processes and social interaction is improved to maximize functional independence, internal stability and the quality of life at home and in a social setting. Our sports therapists have sport-specific knowledge that addresses acute, chronic and overuse injuries. Our services are available to sports persons of all ages at all levels of their career. All our therapists participate in regular continuing educational sessions to ensure they have up-to-date knowledge and skills to provide you with evidence based practice. Our sports therapists design comprehensive exercise programs that cover all aspects of musculoskeletal wellbeing such as posture, flexibility and overall conditioning of the body.
Our Audiology therapists understand the difficulty you face when you are disconnected from the world. In this light, we offer one-on-one treatment for conditions like Hyperacusis and Tinnitus. They help our patients understand the physiology, psychology and patterns of response to problematic sounds and provide remedies to combat these issues. Practical strategies are advised to handle ringing in the ear problems as well as specialist counselling support for patients with other hearing difficulties.
AMOL’s Respiratory Therapists assess your breathing pattern, respiratory muscle function and exercise capacity. We then suggest you the procedure required to treat respiratory problems, depending on the nature and severity of the root cause. Patients with conditions like Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), Cystic fibrosis (CF), Non-cystic fibrosis-related bronchiectasis, Restrictive lung diseases (for example pneumonia), irregular breathing and other pulmonary disorders can be treated. We also train patients on how to maximize their breathing ability, increase lung capacity and how to breathe during an emergency.
Trigger points are small nodules of pain located in the tender muscle tissues of the human body. These nodules are called as ’knots’ or ‘triggers’ that are accumulations of pain chemicals. When these pain points are activated due to overuse, inflammation, infections etc., it can result in pain sensations. Some trigger points may cause pain to be sensed in other parts of the body apart from the affected area whereas some points may show pain only when stimulated by the Therapist. Through Trigger Point Release Therapy, our therapists apply direct pressure on these trigger points to reduce muscle tension and provide pain relief. The pain caused due to this application of pressure feels good to the patient and is satisfying to an extent.

AMOL’s Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy experts provide treatment to disorders that affect how you move – how your muscles and joints work together. Patients with spinal cord injury, for persons affected by Stroke (Acquired Brain Injury), Brain injury (Traumatic Brain Injury), Cerebral Palsy, Spinal cord injury, Parkinson's Disease and other diseases affecting the Central Nervous System (CNS) can be treated through Coordination Dynamics Therapy. The underlying principle of this method is rehabilitating the CNS. That is, training the Central Nervous System to re-learn functions that have been lost due to injuries or illnesses; or to learn/ teach functions in developmental diseases. The Human nervous system is a huge network of interlinked ‘Neurons’. When neural links are broken due to an illness or an injury, the human brain is not able to function fully and results in even more complications.
The sole objective of this Coordination Dynamics Therapy is to make the neurons re-learn functions that have been lost so that new areas of the brain can be reprogrammed to perform the necessary tasks. New neurons can be built from stem cells using an advanced method of this intervention. Such neurons built through Stem cells need to be trained to work in collaboration with the existing networks for full functionality. Else, they will also eventually die. The patients undergoing treatment are required to carry out special exercises that helps the muscles and the neurons work hand=in=hand and r-learn the lost functions. The exercises are usually repetitive in nature to promote memory through repetition. The intensity and variety is gradually increased to achieve maximum functionality.
Interferential Therapy uses low intensity electrical stimulation at two points through the tissue of the affected area in such a way that their paths cross with each other’s’ and actually ‘interfere’ with each other forming a beat frequency. This type of electrical stimulation reduces the pain sensation and improves the functional movement. IFT has also proven to be one of the treatment techniques successful in treating patients with neurological conditions as well.
AMOL applies Heat as a modality to reduce pain sensations and improve mobility. We use Paraffin Wax, obtained from refined Crude Mineral oil, that doesn’t cause any sort of adverse reaction when applied on the Skin. The method involves the application of a layer of molten paraffin wax over the affected areas. As the melting point of paraffin is very low (48 °C - 90°C), it will not cause any blisters, rashes or irritation on the skin. This kind of moist heat has the capacity to penetrate deeper through the layers of skin and help repair the damages in the connective tissues. Wax Therapy helps reduce pain, muscle stiffness, stiffness in joints and improves mobility in the affected areas. Conditions like Fibbromyalgia, strains, sprains, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and other Musculo-skeltal disorders can be treated effectively with this method.
Cryotherapy is the application of ‘cold’ substances to treat the patients. Application of cold reduces pain, swelling and discomfort. Contrary to Heat therapy, ‘iced gel packs’ or ‘cold packs’ are applied over the affected areas to reduce blood flow and inflammation during the acute phase of the healing process. Though it initially constricts the blood vessels and lowers metabolic activity in the affected area, it is very helpful in reducing muscle spasms by making the muscles less sensitive to being stretched. This method is often followed by a series of other therapeutic interventions will increase the oxygen flow to the affected areas and help the body repair itself naturally.
Hydrotherapy or Aquatic therapy is the practise of using Warm water as a medium to treat patients with complex conditions. The patient is allowed to immerse themselves in the water along with our therapist who will carry out the necessary treatment plans under water. Unlike exercises carried out on the land, the exercises under water provides postural support and helps reduce anxiety and fear of falls and further injuries. The buoyancy of the water supports body weight, reducing stress on the joints, allows free movement and promotes better mobilisation and quick healing.Hydrotherapy improves
AMOL uses different sounds with varying decibels and frequencies to improve the auditory senses and perception of sounds in the environment. Patients with hearing impairment and/or neurological conditions having difficulty in processing sound related information and responding to auditory stimulus are treated with this intervention. The sound waves induced at varying frequencies positively affects the circulation, brain waves and neural activity. By entraining the alpha rhythms of the brain, the quantum awareness of the patient is improved. Techniques like music therapy, harmonic resonance, natural sound therapy and bio-acoustics are all employed in varying proportions to suit the independent requirements of each patient.
Speech Therapy is provided to toddlers and kids who show delayed development in communication abilities and adolescents who don’t meet specific speech and language developmental stages. We offer evaluation and treatment of communication disorders like language delay, language impairment, articulation impairment, hypo/hypernasality, stuttering, swallowing impairment, autism and so on. Our kidfit program counts in parents and guardians as the prime partners for long-term success at home, in school and beyond to improve the lives of our patients.
At AMOL, we employ the following interventions to help our patients recover to their maximum potential.
These techniques can help treat
Pragmatic language problems: Trouble using language in socially appropriate ways.
AMOL’s Dark Room Therapy isn’t exactly what you will read on the internet when you search for the term. At AMOL, a patient with a complicated condition having difficulty in sensory perception and awareness is isolated in darkness for a minimum period of time. The Therapist will then use laser pointers on a flat surface to activate the parts of the brain responsible for visual perception. This visual stimulus is then moved around the room to promote attention and concentration. Meanwhile, the therapist will also give oral instructions to improve the auditory perception of the subject. This task will also come in handy to train the children with Attention deficit disorders. Apart from building the patient’s sensory perception, the Therapist will employ a multitude of stimuli to promote spatial recognition and environmental awareness as well.
Our rehabilitation services are provided with an aim to optimise the patients’ function and well-being. We help integrate the patient back into their chosen lifestyle and carry out their daily activities irrespective of whether at home, work or leisure. Our focus is on the changes in the functional disability and lifestyle restrictions based on the patient’s own goals for overall improvement. Rehabilitation also comes handy in providing recovery from injury or disease and also for the management of long-term conditions like Parkinsons, Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke and other Muscular disorders.
AMOL adopts Physical therapy to prepare patients recommended for surgical interventions. As a holistic healthcare provider, we prepare the patient physically, mentally and emotionally to face the fears of undergoing a surgery. Apart from this, we also ensure complete recovery and healing after major surgical procedures. Our treatment plans ensure holistic healing for every patient that drops in. We specialise in helping patients regain complete mobility after knee and hip surgeries ranging from normal walking to any other physically challenging tasks. We employ various techniques and exercises to build strength, flexibility and endurance of the patient both before and after a surgical procedure and make sure that they live a healthy, pain-free, happy life.
We understand the medical, physical and psychological needs of chronically and
terminally ill patients, their caregivers and families. Our compassionate and empathetic team of Psychiatrists and health care professionals make sure that every step in the care of our patients and make sure they get the medical, emotional, and spiritual support needed and spend their last days in dignity and comfort.
Under our Palliative care division, we care for patients suffering from ailments like cancer, congestive heart failure, kidney failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, AIDS, and Alzheimer's and so on. We focus on providing relief from the symptoms and stress of the illness to improve quality of life for both the patient and the family. Our specially-trained team of Therapists, Assistants and nurses work together with a patient’s other Healthcare providers to provide that extra dose of support. All of our Palliative care programs are solely based on the individual needs of the patient rather than the prognosis.

Manual Therapy is that branch of Physiotherapy that involves the use of a 'hands-on' approach to treat patients. The techniques involve skilled hand movements of the therapists to passively move the joints and soft tissues to improve tissue extension, increase the range of motion, induce relaxation, modulate pain, reduce swelling, inflammation & restriction and mobilise the tissues and joints. The techniques may also include manual lymphatic drainage and manual traction i.e. pulling or drawing action to stretch-out or separate body parts to induce relaxation and reduce stiffness
We employ a comprehensive treatment methodology that incorporates a range of procedures from Hands-on Therapy, Sports Medicine/Athletic Training and Work Health to help diagnose, treat, prevent and provide comprehensive rehabilitative services to patients with musculoskeletal problems caused due to arthritis of the shoulders, hips, knees and spine. We also provide rehabilitative services for people who have undergone total joint replacement surgery, trauma from accidents etc,. The aim is to restore normal functioning and stability of joints to help the body heal itself.
Through our dynamic and innovative leadership, we actively promote optimal recovery, wellness, and quality of life in individuals with movement dysfunction due to neurologic diseases or injury. Our Therapists are experts in treating various neurological disorders including Stroke, Spinal cord injury, Brain injury, Parkinson's disease, Multiple sclerosis, Guillain-Barre Syndrome to name a few. Our treatment approach is individually tailored to address specific problem areas and designed to help patients achieve their maximal functional potential.

Despite many Gynaecology and fertility centres across the globe, women donot get the complete treatment or resolution for their problem. This happens because many practitioners overlook the fact that issues related to the pelvic floor are seldom isolated: meaning, symptoms and problems for one condition do have a cascading effect resulting in multiple complications. We at AMOL ensure a wholesome treatment procedure which helps in tackling these issues one-by-one. This has taken us to the level of a most sought-after treatment centre in this spectrum.
